Mel was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. I'm very type A and not the easiest client, but she made the entire process feel so calm and effortless, even with quite a few last-minute changes. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she always made me feel completely at ease.
The flowers turned out exactly how I had envisioned them, if not better. The bouquets were stunning, the candles and decorative pieces were gorgeous, and everything came together so beautifully on the day. We had multiple guests asking where the flowers were from and were genuinely shocked to find out they were faux!
The setup and pack down were completely seamless. I didn't have to worry about a single thing, which made such a difference on the day.
Communication was flawless throughout, regular check-ins, quick responses, and such a high level of care and professionalism. I truly couldn't have asked for better service.

She executed my vision so well, and was so excited about doing it. Living two states away she still made do and I received my florals a week before my wedding (and even was still able to hire despite the distance!). Less than two weeks out from our wedding, we found ourselves in an incredibly stressful situation with our original florist and suddenly had no flowers at all. It was honestly heartbreaking. In a last-ditch effort, I made an SOS post in a Canberra weddings Facebook group, hoping for a miracle, and that's exactly what we got when Mel reached out within just a couple of hours.
That same night, she got on the phone with me and instantly brought a sense of calm and reassurance when we needed it most. From that moment on, Mel went so far above and beyond anything we could have expected.
On the day, Mel and Trevor were absolutely incredible. They put so much care and love into setting up both the ceremony and reception, making sure every detail was perfect. Trevor was just as kind, thoughtful, and dedicated, and together they made such an amazing team. They even captured the most beautiful behind-the-scenes footage of our ceremony, something so special that we will treasure forever.
Walking into our wedding and seeing everything come together was such an emotional moment. I truly never thought my wedding would look like something straight out of Pinterest or a wedding magazine, but thanks to Mayflower Designs, it honestly took my breath away.

Mel was a pleasure to work with to say the least. We first visited her at a wedding expo closer to our wedding - having decided to throw in the towel on styling it ourselves. She picked up our vibe quickly and was a saving grace for us. And a shoutout to her husband at the stall who even helped me find a suit company.
Event stylists are extremely valuable for many reasons. Stress less about buying and picking all the stuff yourself, building it (in some cases), storing it after and have confidence in supporting a local business. You don't have to spend a fortune either.
We gave Mel a little to go off and she produced a mile and helped beautify our wedding. The process was easy and the prices are reasonable.
On the actual day of the wedding we a had a slight logistical error as the caterers left earlier than expected and we did not have someone with an RSA to serve our guests beverages. Mel, seeing me start to stress finding this out before the bride even arrived, told me not to worry and she'll make some calls. She managed to get a contact of hers in on short notice and the transition between caterers and her contact was seamless.
We did our reception and venue in the same place and she was able to flip the venue from ceremony to reception so efficiently that after we signed our certificate and turned around it was done.
I have included pictures so the work can speak for itself. They feature the "bloom bar", which we were one of the first clients to have the chance to book. Our guests got to design and take their own bouquets home. It was a hit!
Mel you went above and beyond for us and we are so thankful as your magic helped make our day unforgettable.

From the start, Mel listened to my visions and ensured that this was perfectly delivered on our day. When we had the first look at the room set up, we were so in awe of how beautifully Mel had set up our bridal and guest tables. It was everything I ever wanted and we were sooo beyond happy with the end result - absolutely loved it so much. Everything was of the highest quality and Mel has such an incredible eye for detail. Mel was so easy to work with, affordable and so flexible with timings and vendor requirements. Our guests also commented all night how amazing the set up was.
